SCI Active Network is a positive network that connects Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) survivors and their families through peer mentoring; and empowers an active lifestyle towards mobility, independence, and a higher quality of life.
Programs
Mentoring
Our experienced group of trained mentors visit, speak, and teach classes at Northern California Rehabilitation centers and within our community.
Roll On/Bowl On
The always popular Roll On/Bowl On event is a family-inclusive bowling night at different locations throughout Northern California.
Share-A-Chair
We support mobility and independence by maintaining and providing lightweight manual wheelchairs to survivors in need.
Peer Network
We host the largest and fast growing monthly network meet-up throuhout the Bay Area in Berkeley. All meet-ups are from 6-8:30 p.m. with food/drinks provided. Social hour to start each meeting with presentations starting promptly at 7 p.m. Alcohol-free and substance-free.
Berkeley meet-up is at the Ed Robert’s Campus on the 2nd Thursday of every month unless otherwise stated.
San Francisco meeting has been DISCONTINUED with the focus and resources going to the Berkeley monthly meet-up and future outings in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area.
